A Câmara Municipal de Parnamirim realizou a entrega oficial de um mamógrafo, equipamento fundamental para o fortalecimento da saúde pública e para a prevenção e o diagnóstico precoce do câncer de mama no município. A entrega ocorre na gestão do presidente César Maia, que garantiu a quitação do equipamento e viabilizou sua efetiva disponibilização à população.

Embora o mamógrafo tenha sido adquirido na legislatura anterior, por meio de uma doação assinada por todos os vereadores da época, o equipamento não havia sido totalmente pago. 50% do valor permanecia pendente, o que impediu sua retirada pela empresa fornecedora.

Ao assumir a presidência da Câmara, César Maia encontrou a Casa Legislativa sem orçamento empenhado ou recursos reservados para o pagamento do equipamento. Diante desse cenário, a atual gestão adotou medidas de economia, planejamento financeiro e responsabilidade fiscal ao longo dos últimos meses, possibilitando, agora, a quitação total do débito e a entrega oficial do mamógrafo.

Médico por formação, o presidente da Câmara liderou o diálogo com os parlamentares e contou com o apoio unânime dos vereadores, que compreenderam a relevância do equipamento e se uniram em torno de um objetivo comum: garantir que Parnamirim tivesse, de fato, acesso a um mamógrafo funcional e disponível para a população.

“O mamógrafo representa cuidado, prevenção e vidas salvas. Como médico e como presidente da Câmara, não poderia permitir que um equipamento dessa importância permanecesse parado por questões administrativas. Com o apoio dos vereadores, organizamos as finanças da Casa, pagamos o que estava pendente e hoje podemos entregar esse equipamento à população”, destacou César Maia.

A entrega do mamógrafo reforça o compromisso da atual gestão da Câmara Municipal com a saúde pública, a transparência e a boa aplicação dos recursos, transformando um investimento que estava parado em um benefício concreto para milhares de mulheres de Parnamirim.
