A gestão da prefeita Nilda assegurou um novo e importante avanço para o desenvolvimento de Parnamirim: R$ 4,4 milhões em investimentos da Companhia Potiguar de Gás (Potigás) para a ampliação da rede de gás natural no município. O anúncio foi feito durante reunião entre a chefe do Executivo municipal e a diretoria da empresa, evidenciando o protagonismo da atual gestão na atração de investimentos, na geração de emprego e renda e no fortalecimento da economia local.
Parnamirim segue se consolidando como um dos principais polos de distribuição de gás natural do Rio Grande do Norte. Atualmente, o município conta com cerca de 35 quilômetros de rede de gás canalizado, atendendo mais de 11,2 mil residências, além de 69 estabelecimentos comerciais, quatro indústrias e sete postos de Gás Natural Veicular (GNV).
Entre 2026 e 2029, a Potigás vai implantar 17,3 quilômetros de nova rede em Parnamirim, criando 48 novos pontos de entrega e ampliando a capacidade de distribuição em 1.089 metros cúbicos por dia, o que permitirá o atendimento de cerca de 5.400 novas unidades. As áreas inicialmente priorizadas incluem os bairros de Nova Parnamirim, Emaús, Vida Nova, Nova Esperança, Cohabinal, além de unidades hospitalares.
“Esse investimento é resultado de um trabalho contínuo da nossa gestão para ampliar a chegada de novos investimentos a Parnamirim. Estamos diversificando e dinamizando a economia, criando oportunidades e tornando a cidade cada vez mais atrativa para quem quer empreender, gerar emprego e renda”, destacou a prefeita Nilda Cruz.
